A Day in LTO Manila District (Tayuman)

When I first bought Merry in yr 2008, I never had a chance to renew the car registration myself since I don't have any idea on how to do it. I may have read many times in the forums on how to do it and what requirements I need but the thought became scary, since here in manila, we have a lot of what we call as "fixers".
Fixers are what we call to those people who would assist you in the processing of any government required legal actions. And of course, it is for a fee. With this (especially if you have money to spare), people tend to become lazy in knowing how the government works. I was one of those people thinking that I have to fall in long lines since the system here in manila is not people friendly. And the fixers would always try to slander and take the money out of you. They would insist on it. But I learned that sometimes you just have to decline nicely and say to them, I want to do it myself.
So here are the documents you need when you want to renew a car registration in Manila
1) OR (Official Receipt) of the previous year your car was registered
2) A photocopy of Certificate of Registry
3) CTPL (Coverage of Third Party Liability)
4) Emmision Testing Results
5) MVIR (Motor Vehicle Inspection Report) with stencil of the engine and the cars chassis #
Here is the process:
1) Secure the first 4 documents first.
2) Then go to LTO inspectors to have them do the vehicle inspection. For this part, I first went to a document inspector and he made me go to the vehicle inspector because I don't know where it was. I brought my car and have it open the hood for some inspection and stencils. I gave a 50PHP tip to the man who stenciled the engine and chassis. (But I think 20PHP should be enough).
3) After the inspection, you will now have all 5 documents. Then you can now proceed to an Evaluators window.
4) Then you are just going to wait until your name is called so you can pay the needed renewal fees.
5) After payment, you go to the window that releases the stickers. And then it is done.
I never imagined that this will be very easy. But I thank and praise God for giving me the courage to do it. And also regards to my wife for the support.
Here are the necessary fees that I spent:
1) CTPL (care of People Insurance) - 610PHP
2) Emiision Testing - 425 PHP
3) Stencil Tip - 50PHP
4) Renewal Fee - 2730 (This would have been 2630 if it weren't for the change venue fee of 100. Change venue  fee is when you registered on a different LTO office the previous year)
Overall fee: 3815PHP
It's that easy and it takes courage and calmness.

I created this site so I would be able to see what I am eating and be able to correct the mistakes toward my goal of losing 1-2 lbs of fat. I am not perfect and I am bound to lose the sight of my goal.

Goal:
Weight: 160-165 lbs
8-10% body fat
Look lean like a fitness model
Gain body weight bench press
twice the body weight when I do squats
